Design at the scale of the place.

From framework plans to rain gardens — the work of shaping neighbourhoods, streets and shared spaces for developers, landowners, local authorities and communities.

Masterplanning

A masterplan is the framework that holds a place together — how homes, movement, open space and activity fit into a coherent whole. We work in plan and section from the very first sketch, testing options quickly and openly so that decisions are made with evidence rather than assumption.

Community & Neighbourhood Design

Neighbourhoods work when they are built around people rather than vehicles. Streets at a human scale, everyday destinations within walking distance, and shared spaces that invite people to linger all contribute to healthier, better-connected communities. We design places that make the ordinary daily journey pleasant — and in doing so make a neighbourhood stronger.

Regeneration

Places change gradually, and thoughtful architectural intervention can shape that change for the better. Reusing good existing buildings, unlocking underused land and improving the spaces between are often more valuable than starting again. We welcome early conversations with local authorities, developers, landowners and community organisations — engaging at concept stage is where the greatest opportunities are found.

Housing Strategies

From low-density edges to higher-density urban blocks and mixed-use development, the right housing approach depends entirely on place. We assist with development feasibility, housing concepts, site capacity studies, masterplan testing, urban frameworks and design strategy — the early design thinking that shapes a scheme, working alongside the engineering and planning consultants who take it forward.

05

Public Realm

Parks, squares, streets and the spaces between buildings are where public life actually happens. We take a landscape-led approach — designing pedestrian environments with generosity, shade, planting and a clear sense of place.

Green & Blue Infrastructure

Rain gardens, wetlands, sustainable drainage, urban planting and landscape corridors do several jobs at once: managing water, cooling streets, supporting wildlife and making places more pleasant. We weave green and blue infrastructure through the plan from the outset, as structure rather than decoration.
